For my 1st two albums I kept the creative process all to myself with the ocassional input from producers and of course the A&R to aprove or reject the joints. This time round I’ve adopted a completely different attitude, a more “open door policy” if you like. This basically means I’m inviting more input from various sources including the producers, guests on the album, my management team and now the invitation is extended to you the headz.
I’m inviting all the producers of the various tracks to sit in on the creation of the track/album. In terms of offering suggestions relating to content, style, delivery and even production. It’s gon be a more inclusive process where before it was just submitting of beats and hearing the final product later. Now producers can be part of the whole process which will possibly make for a better product ultimately.
As per the brain diagram, my thought process for an album is usually structured with a few conerstones including the concetual joints, radio joints, hard joints and comercial joints. I’ve added headz input which basically means I challenge you to be part of the creative process where I bounce ideas off’ headz and even allow for ya’ll to guide the end product. So throw concepts topics ideas at me and we discuss, I then write record and execute!
