Having readjusted to normal life after his “desert island” stint on Survivor SA: Santa Carolina in 2010, ProVerb was signed on to co-host Idols (season six) with controversial presenter Liezel van der Westhuizen.

But she left mid-season to co-host SABC3’s fledgling weekday breakfast show, Expresso.

With viewers critical of Van der Westhuizen’s frosty conversational skills and yearning for Colin Moss’s return, ProVerb’s arrival saw them quickly warm to his swag, witty banter and confident disposition.
